Contemporary Grey Marble and Wood Reception Desk

Contemporary linear reception desk for 3ds Max, featuring a grey marble work surface, dark wood base, and a matching floor lamp. This linear reception desk features a clean, professional aesthetic defined by a heavy grey marble countertop that rests on a dark, solid-coloured base. A secondary lower-tier wood shelf runs along the front, providing visual warmth and depth to the overall composition. The design includes an integrated, slender floor lamp with a drum-style shade, which complements the modern geometry of the desk. The structure is designed for two workstations, with all components presented as a cohesive unit. Its refined material palette and minimalist form make it a versatile choice for high-end corporate or boutique commercial environments.

The download is a 2.2 MB compressed archive containing the native 3ds Max (.max) model, set up with Corona materials. Open it in 3ds Max with Corona installed; for other programs, export to FBX or OBJ from 3ds Max first.

In 3ds Max, this model is structured with logical layer separation for the desk and the lighting fixture, allowing for efficient scene management. Users can easily adjust the material settings for the marble and wood finishes to suit specific lighting conditions or render engine requirements. The geometry is clean and scaled for immediate insertion into architectural floor plans, ensuring a seamless workflow when populating lobby or reception area scenes for client presentations or final high-quality visualisations.

This piece is suitable for corporate lobbies, boutique hotel reception areas, and upscale retail environments where a sophisticated first impression is required. It pairs effectively with modern ergonomic office chairs and minimalist waiting area seating. Professionals searching for a contemporary front-of-house solution will find this asset useful for projects requiring a polished, professional aesthetic. It is an ideal addition to architectural visualisations focused on commercial interior design, particularly when staging professional office spaces or hospitality projects at the design development stage.
