Contemporary Grey Leather and Wood Armchair with Throw

This contemporary 3ds Max armchair features a natural wood frame, grey leather cushions, and an integrated draped fabric throw. The chair exhibits a clean, contemporary profile defined by its exposed timber frame, which showcases a warm natural wood finish. A slim, tufted-style leather cushion in a cool grey tone provides the primary seating support, extending across both the backrest and the seat base. The design is softened by a draped beige fabric throw, which is included as part of the asset, cascading over the right armrest and pooling slightly on the floor. The structural joinery of the timber arms and legs is straightforward, emphasizing a functional, minimalist aesthetic suitable for modern interiors.

The download is a 20 MB compressed archive containing the native 3ds Max (.max) model, set up with Corona materials. Open it in 3ds Max with Corona installed; for other programs, export to FBX or OBJ from 3ds Max first.

When integrating this model into 3ds Max, ensure the object pivot is set to the floor base for easy placement within your scene. The materials are separated by layer, allowing for quick adjustments to the leather gloss or wood grain texture maps. For optimal results, apply a sub-division modifier to the throw if close-up shots are required, or keep the base mesh for mid-ground composition to maintain efficient viewport performance during the rendering phase.

This armchair serves as a versatile accent piece in residential living rooms, reading nooks, or boutique hotel lobbies. Its neutral palette allows it to pair effectively with mid-century or modern interior schemes, particularly when placed alongside side tables or floor lamps. Professionals searching for lounge seating, timber-frame chairs, or soft-furnished reading spots will find this asset suitable for high-end architectural visualisation projects where a lived-in, comfortable atmosphere is required to complete a space.
