About this asset

This SketchUp model features two modern white plaster columns with integrated lighting, ideal for high-end interior design projects. These sculptural columns feature organic, flared forms finished in a smooth white plaster. The first variant presents a fluted, trumpet-like profile with vertical recessed light strips running along the shaft, terminating in a circular base. The second variant features a slender, cylindrical shaft that expands into a wide, disc-like capital, concealing an upward-facing light source beneath the overhanging rim. Both pieces are designed as monolithic architectural elements, providing both structural presence and ambient lighting. Their clean, seamless surfaces and bold geometric silhouettes make them suitable for contemporary lobbies, retail showrooms, or luxury lounge spaces.

The download is a 2.6 MB compressed archive containing the native SketchUp (.skp) model holding 2 separate objects. It opens directly in SketchUp; for 3ds Max, Blender or Cinema 4D, import it through a SketchUp importer or convert it first.

Users should place them on a dedicated layer for architectural features to manage visibility easily. Given the integrated light strips, apply emissive materials to the glowing surfaces to achieve the desired illumination intensity in your render engine. The geometry is clean, allowing for simple scaling if adjustments are needed to match specific floor-to-ceiling heights in your project model without distorting the proportions of the flared capitals.

These columns are effective in large-scale commercial interiors, such as hotel lobbies, corporate reception areas, or high-end retail environments where statement lighting is required. They pair well with minimalist furniture and neutral material palettes. Professionals searching for 'architectural lighting features', 'sculptural columns', or 'integrated light columns' will find these assets useful for creating focal points in open-plan spaces. They are particularly suited for the concept and design development stages where atmospheric lighting and unique structural elements define the character of the space.
