Contemporary Grey Fabric Lounge Chair with Metal Frame

This contemporary lounge chair for SketchUp features a tufted grey fabric seat supported by a slim, minimalist black metal frame. The lounge chair presents a balanced, contemporary aesthetic defined by its clean-lined tubular metal frame in a matte black finish. The seat assembly consists of a plush, tufted fabric cushion in a neutral grey tone, which provides visual texture and comfort. The backrest and seat are integrated into a single, cohesive form, resting securely within the metal structure. Proportions are compact yet comfortable, making it suitable for tight corners or open-plan arrangements. The design focuses on simplicity and material contrast, pairing the soft textile surface with the structural rigidity of the industrial-style metal base.

The download is a 15.9 MB compressed archive containing the native SketchUp (.skp) model. It opens directly in SketchUp; for 3ds Max, Blender or Cinema 4D, import it through a SketchUp importer or convert it first.

In SketchUp, this model is structured as a single component, allowing for easy placement and orientation within a scene. Users should check the component axes upon insertion to ensure proper snapping to floor planes. The geometry is clean, with materials applied as standard textures; these can be easily swapped or scaled within the materials tray to match specific project finishes. Ensure all faces are oriented correctly before applying rendering materials to avoid potential shading issues during final output generation.

This lounge chair is ideal for residential living rooms, modern hotel lobbies, or quiet office breakout spaces. Its neutral colour palette and minimalist form allow it to pair seamlessly with various interior styles, from industrial to Scandinavian. Professionals often search for this type of accent chair when looking to add comfortable, low-profile seating to architectural visualisations. It works effectively as a standalone piece or in pairs to create a defined conversation area within a larger floor plan or a staged model.
