About this asset

This contemporary grey fabric armchair, modelled in SketchUp, features a refined walnut-toned timber base and a curved silhouette. This armchair features a gently curved backrest and integrated armrests, finished in a light grey upholstery fabric. The seat cushion is firm and clean-lined, supported by an exposed timber frame with a rich, natural-wood finish. The base consists of four tapered legs that provide a stable, balanced profile. The design is complemented by a dark teal throw blanket and a monochrome patterned scatter cushion, adding texture and depth to the piece. The overall form is compact and elegant, suitable for sophisticated interiors requiring a balanced mix of comfort and structural geometry.

The download is a 76.1 MB compressed archive containing the native SketchUp (.skp) model. It opens directly in SketchUp; for 3ds Max, Blender or Cinema 4D, import it through a SketchUp importer or convert it first.

When working in SketchUp, this model is best utilised by importing the component directly into your project file via the components tray. Ensure the geometry is placed on a dedicated layer for seating to maintain scene organisation. Users can easily adjust the material mapping on the fabric and timber surfaces to match specific project finishes. For rendering, apply appropriate reflection and bump maps to the fabric textures to enhance the realism of the upholstery folds and the grain of the wooden base.

This armchair is ideal for residential living rooms, boutique hotel lobbies, or quiet reading nooks in professional offices. It pairs well with mid-century or contemporary side tables and can be positioned as a standalone accent piece or within a larger furniture arrangement. Design professionals often search for this type of asset when specifying high-end lounge areas, waiting rooms, or master bedroom suites.
