Contemporary Grey Fabric Armchair with Houndstooth Throw, Single Seat

This contemporary grey fabric armchair for 3ds Max features a high-back wrap-around design and includes a decorative houndstooth throw. The armchair features a contemporary silhouette with a deep, curved backrest that provides a cocoon-like seating experience. It is upholstered in a neutral grey fabric, complemented by sleek, tapered metal legs that provide a sturdy base. The piece includes a dark striped scatter cushion and a draped houndstooth-patterned textile, adding texture and visual contrast to the monochromatic base. The proportions are balanced for lounge environments, with a generous seat depth and supportive armrests integrated into the primary frame structure, ensuring a cohesive aesthetic suitable for both formal and informal interior settings.

The download is a 16.2 MB compressed archive containing the native 3ds Max (.max) model, set up with Corona materials. Open it in 3ds Max with Corona installed; for other programs, export to FBX or OBJ from 3ds Max first.

When integrating this 3ds Max asset, ensure the model is scaled correctly against your scene units before placement. The fabric and metal materials are mapped for standard rendering workflows; check that texture paths are correctly linked in the material editor. Use local pivot points to rotate the chair into its final position and group the throw and cushion components with the main geometry if further adjustments are required within your project layout to maintain scene organisation.

This armchair is well-suited for residential living rooms, boutique hotel lobbies, or quiet reading nooks in professional offices. It pairs effectively with minimalist coffee tables or as an accent piece in a larger seating arrangement. Designers often search for this type of asset when sourcing comfortable, modern lounge furniture that offers a sophisticated look without dominating a space. It works particularly well in projects requiring a neutral colour palette with subtle pattern interest, such as contemporary apartments or high-end residential suites.
