About this asset

This modern recessed ceiling panel system for SketchUp features integrated linear LED lighting and a clean, minimalist aesthetic. Comprising three distinct rectangular panels, this ceiling system is designed with a recessed perimeter profile that houses integrated LED strips. The central sections feature a flat, matte-finished surface, likely plaster or composite, framed by a dark, thin metal reveal that provides a sharp contrast to the white ceiling plane. The lighting is arranged in a continuous linear configuration around the inner edge of each panel, creating a clean, shadow-gap effect. The proportions are balanced for modular installation, offering a sophisticated solution for high-end interior ceiling design.

The download is a 2.1 MB compressed archive containing the native SketchUp (.skp) model holding 3 separate objects. It opens directly in SketchUp; for 3ds Max, Blender or Cinema 4D, import it through a SketchUp importer or convert it first.

To integrate this ceiling system into your SketchUp project, import the component and snap it to your ceiling plane. The assembly is structured as a nested component, allowing for easy adjustment of the individual panels or material overrides on the frame elements. Users should ensure the model is scaled correctly to their room dimensions and apply emissive materials to the LED strips to achieve the desired illumination effect in their preferred rendering engine.

This ceiling system is suitable for contemporary residential living areas, high-end lobbies, or modern office boardrooms where a clean, architectural lighting solution is required. It pairs effectively with minimalist interior schemes, providing both ambient and accent lighting. Professionals typically search for this type of asset when developing reflected ceiling plans or detailed interior visualisations for luxury hospitality and commercial projects. Its modular nature makes it adaptable for various room sizes and layouts, adding a refined, technical detail to any ceiling design.
