About this asset

This contemporary SketchUp lounge chair features a grey fabric seat shell integrated into a natural oak frame with a cutout detail. Defined by its low-slung profile and minimalist aesthetic, this lounge chair pairs a soft grey upholstered seat shell with a sturdy, exposed timber frame. The backrest and seat are unified into a single padded form, punctuated by a vertical cutout that provides visual lightness to the design. The oak frame follows a clean, geometric silhouette, with straight legs and structural supports that highlight the natural grain of the wood. This piece balances comfort with a structured, architectural form, making it a versatile seating option for modern interiors that prioritise material contrast and clean lines.

The download is a 4.9 MB compressed archive containing the native SketchUp (.skp) model. It opens directly in SketchUp; for 3ds Max, Blender or Cinema 4D, import it through a SketchUp importer or convert it first.

Within SketchUp, this component is structured for efficient placement and scene management. Users can easily snap the chair to floor planes or adjust its position within furniture layouts using standard move and rotate tools. The geometry is organised into logical groups, allowing for quick material overrides or texture mapping adjustments if required for specific render engine workflows. Its lightweight file size ensures smooth navigation in larger architectural models without compromising visual quality in interior views or walkthroughs.

Ideal for residential living rooms, boutique hotel lobbies, and quiet reading nooks, this lounge chair serves as an effective accent piece in contemporary design schemes. It complements minimalist interiors, pairing well with low-profile coffee tables and area rugs. Professionals searching for modern lounge seating will find this asset suitable for staging residential projects or hospitality lounge areas where a balance of comfort and refined style is essential. It integrates seamlessly into scenes requiring a sophisticated, understated aesthetic for both client presentations and high-quality visualisations.
