Contemporary Curved Timber Staircase with LED Lighting Scene

This contemporary curved staircase is a detailed SketchUp scene featuring timber treads, glass balustrades, and integrated LED lighting. This sculptural staircase features a sweeping curved form, constructed with warm-toned timber treads that appear to float. The structure is supported by a sleek, dark-toned metal frame that follows the elegant arc of the stringer. A transparent glass balustrade maintains an open, airy aesthetic, while recessed LED lighting under each tread adds warmth and functional illumination. The base of the stair integrates seamlessly into a green marble plinth, surrounded by lush indoor vegetation, creating a sophisticated transition between the staircase and the surrounding interior floor space.

The download is a 105 MB compressed archive containing the native SketchUp (.skp) model. It opens directly in SketchUp; for 3ds Max, Blender or Cinema 4D, import it through a SketchUp importer or convert it first.

Within SketchUp, this model is organised into logical groups for easy manipulation and scaling to fit specific floor-to-floor heights. Users should leverage the existing layer structure to manage visibility of the lighting components and vegetation independently. Materials are mapped for immediate rendering, though users may need to re-apply textures if modifying the geometry. The model serves as a high-quality base, allowing for easy integration into custom interior designs by adjusting the curve radius or total riser count to suit project-specific requirements.

Ideal for high-end residential foyers, luxury lobby spaces, or boutique hospitality projects, this staircase serves as a prominent architectural feature. It complements minimalist and contemporary interiors, pairing effectively with expansive glazing and natural wood finishes. Professionals searching for statement stair designs will find this asset useful for visualising circulation paths in complex multi-level layouts, particularly when aiming to create a focal point within a double-height volume or an open-plan living area where the stair acts as a central design element.
