About this asset

This contemporary double-layer fabric curtain SketchUp model features a white sheer inner layer framed by grey opaque drapes. This window treatment set consists of a two-part curtain assembly designed for realistic interior visualization. The central section is a light, white sheer fabric with a soft, uniform fold pattern, providing a subtle filter for light. Flanking this are two heavier, textured grey drapes that provide depth and contrast. The fabric geometry is rendered with clean, vertical pleats that hang naturally from the top header. The model is presented as a single cohesive unit, ideal for quick placement against windows or glass doors in architectural scenes where soft furnishings are required.

The download is a 13.5 MB compressed archive containing the native SketchUp (.skp) model. It opens directly in SketchUp; for 3ds Max, Blender or Cinema 4D, import it through a SketchUp importer or convert it first.

Within SketchUp, this component is best managed as a nested group or component. Users should place the asset on a dedicated layer for window treatments to easily toggle visibility during the modelling process. Since the geometry includes complex folds, ensure the model is positioned correctly against the wall plane. If adjustments to the scale are necessary, use the non-uniform scaling tool with caution to avoid distorting the fabric texture mapping. The materials are ready for standard rendering engine application.

These curtains are suitable for residential projects, particularly in living rooms and bedrooms where a layered aesthetic is desired. They pair effectively with modern or transitional interior styles, offering a balance of privacy and natural light control. Professionals searching for window dressings, drapes, or soft furnishings for high-end residential or hotel room visualisations will find this asset useful. It integrates seamlessly into scenes requiring a professional, finished look without the need for manual modelling of complex fabric folds.
