About this asset

This contemporary SketchUp model features double-layer floor-to-ceiling curtains with a pleated grey inner layer and beige outer panels. These floor-to-ceiling curtains feature a refined double-layered composition designed to bring texture and softness to a space. The primary inner layer consists of finely pleated, light grey fabric, providing a clean, uniform vertical rhythm. Framing this are outer panels in a contrasting beige tone, which add depth and a warmer neutral palette to the assembly. The model captures the drape and natural folds of the textile, suggesting a high-quality finish suitable for sophisticated interior schemes. The geometry is clean, focusing on the vertical lines created by the pleats and the layered depth.

The download is a 48.1 MB compressed archive containing the native SketchUp (.skp) model. It opens directly in SketchUp; for 3ds Max, Blender or Cinema 4D, import it through a SketchUp importer or convert it first.

To integrate this model into a SketchUp scene, import the component and use the scale tool to adjust the width and height to fit specific window openings. Ensure the curtains are placed on a dedicated layer to manage model complexity. The materials are mapped to represent the fabric texture; you can adjust the transparency or bump maps within your preferred render engine to achieve the desired light filtration and softness for realistic interior visualisations.

These curtains are ideal for residential living rooms, master bedrooms, and luxury hospitality suites where a layered window treatment is required. They pair effectively with minimalist or contemporary decor, providing an essential soft element to balance hard architectural surfaces like stone or timber. Designers often search for these when specifying window dressings for high-end apartments or hotel projects. They are particularly useful for adding a sense of scale and comfort to large glazing areas, effectively softening the transition between indoor and outdoor spaces.
