About this asset

This contemporary 3-seater sofa, modelled in 3ds Max, features a distinctive curved silhouette upholstered in a green and white striped fabric. Defined by its organic, sweeping curve, this 3-seater sofa offers a sophisticated profile for modern interiors. The frame is supported by a solid wood plinth base that follows the gentle arc of the seating area. Upholstery consists of a tactile, vertical-striped fabric in alternating shades of sage green and off-white, providing a clean, rhythmic pattern that emphasizes the curved geometry. The integrated backrest and armrests form a continuous, seamless enclosure, creating a structured yet comfortable lounge piece suitable for formal living areas, upscale hotel lobbies, or boutique retail environments requiring a focal point.

The download is a 14 MB compressed archive containing the native 3ds Max (.max) model, set up with Corona materials. Open it in 3ds Max with Corona installed; for other programs, export to FBX or OBJ from 3ds Max first.

To integrate this model into a 3ds Max scene, ensure the native scale aligns with your project units before merging. The fabric texture is mapped to follow the vertical orientation of the cushions and frame, which can be adjusted via the UVW map modifier if necessary. The wooden plinth is separated as a distinct material ID, allowing for easy adjustment of wood tone or finish to match other joinery or furniture elements within the wider interior design scheme.

This sofa works effectively as a statement piece in high-end residential projects, such as open-plan living rooms or master suites. Its curved form is ideal for breaking up rectangular room layouts or floating in the centre of a lounge. Designers often pair this with minimalist coffee tables or low-profile side tables to highlight the sofa's shape. Search for this model when specifying 'curved seating', 'striped upholstery', or 'contemporary lounge furniture' for projects requiring a blend of comfort and sculptural design.
