About this asset

This contemporary nightstand, modelled for SketchUp, features a cream metal frame with a distinctive vertical grille door and sphere feet. This bedside table presents a clean, contemporary aesthetic defined by its soft, rounded corners and monochromatic cream finish. The unit features a recessed front panel composed of a fine vertical metal grille, providing a semi-transparent storage compartment. The top surface incorporates a row of decorative circular cut-outs along the front edge, adding a subtle rhythmic detail. The entire structure is elevated by four oversized spherical feet, which contrast against the rectilinear form of the main body. Its proportions are compact, making it suitable for tight bedside spaces while maintaining a playful, modern silhouette.

The download is a 69.6 MB compressed archive containing the native SketchUp (.skp) model. It opens directly in SketchUp; for 3ds Max, Blender or Cinema 4D, import it through a SketchUp importer or convert it first.

Within SketchUp, this model is organised into logical groups for easy manipulation and scaling. Users should manage the geometry using the Outliner to toggle visibility or apply custom materials to the main frame and internal surfaces. The file is optimised for standard architectural workflows, allowing for quick insertion as a component. Ensure the model is placed on a dedicated layer for better scene management, and apply soft lighting to highlight the grille texture and the rounded edges of the feet.

Ideal for residential bedrooms and boutique hotel suites, this nightstand pairs effectively with minimalist or contemporary interior schemes. It functions well as a standalone piece or in mirrored pairs flanking a bed. Designers often search for this type of furniture when looking for unique, sculptural storage solutions that avoid the rigidity of standard cabinetry. It complements light-toned palettes and soft, textured fabrics, fitting seamlessly into modern apartments, guest rooms, or curated interior projects requiring a touch of character without overwhelming the surrounding space.
