About this asset

This contemporary 3ds Max bench features a cream upholstered mattress seat supported by a dark wood frame with leather strap details. This daybed-style bench presents a clean, linear silhouette suitable for refined interiors. The main seat is upholstered in a textured cream fabric, providing a neutral base that contrasts with the dark, stained wood timber frame. A notable design feature is the inclusion of two cylindrical bolster cushions at either end, secured by slim brown leather straps that loop over the frame. The overall proportions are elongated and low-profile, balanced by simple, straight timber legs. This piece functions as a versatile seating element, combining soft textile comfort with structured, rigid material accents.

The download is a 3.4 MB compressed archive containing the native 3ds Max (.max) model, set up with Corona materials. Open it in 3ds Max with Corona installed; for other programs, export to FBX or OBJ from 3ds Max first.

When integrating this model into 3ds Max, ensure the object pivot is set to the floor level for efficient placement. The file structure allows for easy separation of the cushions and frame, enabling individual material overrides or adjustments to the leather strap textures. Use standard material editors to manage the fabric bump maps and ensure the wood grain orientation is aligned with the frame geometry. Proper lighting setups, such as using an HDRI for ambient occlusion, will help define the depth of the leather straps.

Ideal for residential bedrooms, this bench serves as a functional foot-of-bed seating piece or a decorative accent in a walk-in wardrobe. Its low profile makes it equally effective in hospitality settings, such as luxury hotel suites or boutique lounge areas where a minimalist aesthetic is required. Architects and interior designers often specify this type of furniture to bridge the gap between seating and surface storage. Pair it with textured rugs or adjacent side tables to anchor it within a contemporary room layout.
