About this asset

This contemporary 3ds Max model features a beige velvet armchair with a channel-tufted curved back and a contrasting red cushion. Defined by its soft, rounded silhouette, this armchair features a continuous, channel-tufted backrest that flows seamlessly into the seat. The upholstery is finished in a textured, light beige velvet, providing a subtle sheen and depth. A small, square accent cushion in a deep, patterned red fabric is included, offering a tactile contrast to the smooth, sweeping lines of the chair. The base is circular, maintaining the compact, organic profile of the piece. Its proportions are generous yet intimate, making it suitable for smaller lounge areas where comfort and visual interest are equally prioritised.

In 3ds Max, this asset is structured for straightforward placement within interior scenes. The geometry is clean, allowing for easy adjustment of the velvet material parameters to suit specific lighting conditions or render engine requirements. Users should check the pivot point at the base for efficient rotation and alignment. Applying a sub-division modifier can enhance the curvature of the channel-tufting for close-up shots, while maintaining the file's performance for wider room views.

This armchair is ideal for residential living rooms, boutique hotel lobbies, or quiet reading nooks in a master bedroom. It pairs effectively with minimalist side tables or as a standalone accent piece in a contemporary interior. Designers often search for this type of seating when specifying furniture for high-end residential projects or hospitality suites where a soft, inviting aesthetic is required. Its neutral base colour ensures it complements a variety of palettes, from muted scandinavian schemes to more vibrant, eclectic design concepts.
