About this asset

This contemporary 3ds Max dining chair features a cream boucle upholstered seat and backrest supported by a natural oak frame. Defined by its distinct circular backrest featuring a central cut-out, this dining chair balances soft textures with a robust timber structure. The seat and back are upholstered in a tactile, high-pile cream boucle fabric, providing a warm contrast to the light-toned oak legs. The four legs are cylindrical and slightly tapered, extending directly from the circular seat frame, which creates a clean, intentional silhouette. With its compact footprint and sculptural profile, this piece serves as a functional seating option that prioritizes comfort and organic geometry in both residential and commercial interior environments.

The download is a 22.2 MB compressed archive containing the native 3ds Max (.max) model, set up with Corona materials. Open it in 3ds Max with Corona installed; for other programs, export to FBX or OBJ from 3ds Max first.

In 3ds Max, this model is structured for efficient scene integration, with materials mapped to the boucle and oak components for immediate rendering. Users should ensure the pivot point is set to the base of the legs for accurate placement on floor planes. Given the detailed fabric texture, adjusting the bump or displacement maps within the material editor may be necessary depending on the required level of detail for specific camera distances in your project rendering setup.

This dining chair is well-suited for minimalist or contemporary dining rooms, boutique café settings, or as an accent piece in a refined home office. Its neutral palette allows it to pair seamlessly with light wood dining tables or as a solitary statement piece in a corner. Professionals searching for organic, soft-seating solutions will find this model effective for creating inviting, high-end residential or hospitality spaces where tactile materials and unique, sculptural forms are essential for the overall design narrative.
