About this asset

This contemporary 3ds Max model features an abstract sculpture composed of two charcoal stone forms joined by a polished gold element. The sculpture consists of two distinct, rough-hewn charcoal-coloured stone blocks positioned one above the other. These organic, jagged forms are connected by a central, fluid metallic element finished in a high-gloss polished gold. The contrast between the matte, textured surface of the natural stone and the reflective, molten-like appearance of the gold creates a striking visual tension. The piece functions as a sculptural tabletop ornament, designed with balanced proportions that suggest a geological or elemental inspiration, suitable for adding a sophisticated, artistic focal point to interior spaces.

The download is a 14.3 MB compressed archive containing the native 3ds Max (.max) model, set up with Corona materials. Open it in 3ds Max with Corona installed; for other programs, export to FBX or OBJ from 3ds Max first.

In 3ds Max, this object is provided as a single mesh, allowing for straightforward integration into scenes. Users should ensure the material library is correctly linked to maintain the distinction between the stone and metal shaders. Given the reflective nature of the gold component, placing the model near light sources or within an environment with a high-quality HDRI map will significantly enhance the realism of the metallic reflections and the depth of the stone textures.

Ideal for high-end residential projects, this sculpture serves as an effective styling element for coffee tables, console tables, or bookshelves. It complements luxury interior design schemes, particularly in living rooms, executive offices, or boutique hotel lobbies. Professionals often search for unique, abstract art pieces to complete a curated look in modern or minimalist settings. The piece pairs well with marble surfaces, dark wood furniture, or neutral-toned interiors where the gold and charcoal palette can stand out as a refined aesthetic accent.
