About this asset

These contemporary double-layer curtains for 3ds Max feature a charcoal grey pleated fabric overlay paired with a white sheer base. This window treatment set consists of two distinct layers, designed to provide both privacy and light diffusion. The primary curtain features a deep charcoal grey fabric with a vertical pleated texture, providing a structured, formal drape. Behind this sits a secondary, semi-transparent white sheer layer, which softens incoming light. The assembly is header-finished with consistent, tight pleating, allowing for a realistic hanging profile. The model captures the subtle interplay between the opaque, textured surface of the outer fabric and the lighter, translucent quality of the inner sheer material.

The download is a 3.9 MB compressed archive containing the native 3ds Max (.max) model, set up with Corona materials. Open it in 3ds Max with Corona installed; for other programs, export to FBX or OBJ from 3ds Max first.

In 3ds Max, this model is organised as a clean, singular object for efficient placement in front of window openings. The geometry is optimized for accurate light transmission through the sheer layer. Users should ensure the normals are oriented correctly to avoid shading issues on the pleated surfaces. Materials are assigned by layer, allowing for easy adjustment of transparency, texture scaling, or colour tints to match specific project requirements during the final rendering setup.

These curtains are suitable for high-end residential interiors, boutique hotel suites, and executive office spaces where a layered window treatment is required. They pair well with modern, minimalist, or contemporary interior schemes that demand a clean, sophisticated window dressing. Search for these when specifying window treatments for bedrooms, living rooms, or dining areas that require flexible lighting control. The neutral palette ensures compatibility with a wide range of wall colours and floor finishes in both day and night-time lighting scenarios.
