About this asset

This wabi-sabi style bench 3ds Max model features a raw natural-edge wood slab supported by two distinct, irregular stone blocks. Defined by its raw, organic aesthetic, this bench showcases a thick, natural-edge timber slab that serves as the primary seating surface. The base consists of two asymmetrical stone blocks with rough-hewn textures, providing a stark contrast to the linear, smoothed grain of the wood. The composition is completed by a small, minimalist ceramic vase containing a delicate branch, enhancing the overall sculptural quality of the piece. This assembly balances heavy, grounding elements with a refined, horizontal plane, making it a focal point for interiors that celebrate natural textures and imperfection.

The download is a 98.3 MB file containing the native 3ds Max (.max) model, set up with Corona materials. Open it in 3ds Max with Corona installed; for other programs, export to FBX or OBJ from 3ds Max first.

In 3ds Max, this model is structured as a single assembly for ease of placement. Users can adjust the material mapping on the wood grain to ensure realistic scaling within their scene. The stone components are provided as distinct meshes, allowing for individual adjustments to positioning or rotation if needed. Standard scaling tools can be applied to fit the bench into specific interior dimensions while maintaining the integrity of the natural stone and wood textures.

Ideal for residential entryways, minimalist living rooms, or high-end hospitality lobbies, this bench functions as both a functional seat and a decorative statement piece. It pairs effectively with large-scale artwork or textured wall treatments, reinforcing a wabi-sabi or organic-modern design language. Professionals should look for this asset when specifying furniture that emphasizes natural, unrefined materials. It integrates seamlessly into projects requiring a sense of grounding and architectural texture, particularly in spaces that utilize neutral palettes and natural light to highlight material depth.
