About this asset

This contemporary SketchUp console table features a sleek glass top supported by a distinct geometric x-frame timber base. The piece is defined by a linear, rectangular glass surface that sits atop a complex, sculptural base. The base is crafted from dark-toned timber, utilizing two intersecting angular supports that form an X-shape, connected by a central horizontal brace. This geometric construction creates an open, airy silhouette that balances the weight of the frame with the transparency of the top. The proportions are elongated, making it suitable for narrow spaces. The material contrast between the smooth, reflective glass and the warm, matte-finished wood provides a sophisticated aesthetic suitable for modern interior design schemes.

The download is a 4.4 MB compressed archive containing the native SketchUp (.skp) model. It opens directly in SketchUp; for 3ds Max, Blender or Cinema 4D, import it through a SketchUp importer or convert it first.

Within SketchUp, the geometry is organised into a single component or group, allowing for easy placement and scaling within your project file. Users should verify the axis alignment upon insertion to ensure it sits flush with floor geometry. The materials are applied as standard textures; these can be adjusted or replaced using the material editor to match specific project lighting or wood finishes. Ensure the model is placed on a dedicated layer for better scene management and visibility control.

This console table works effectively in residential entryways, hallways, or behind sofas in open-plan living areas. It is an ideal piece for high-end hospitality projects, such as hotel lobbies or luxury corridors, where a statement piece is required. Designers often pair this with minimalist wall art or a decorative mirror to enhance the visual impact.
