About this asset

This contemporary 3ds Max lounge chair features an organic, sculptural silhouette upholstered in a rich, textured brown fabric. Defined by fluid, continuous lines, this lounge chair presents a sculptural form that merges the seat and backrest into a single, cohesive element. The upholstery is a deep brown fabric with a subtle, tactile weave, providing warmth and visual depth to the piece. Notably, the side profile reveals a layered, wood-grain texture along the support structure, suggesting a construction method reminiscent of stacked plywood or compressed fibreboard. Its low-slung profile and ergonomic curve are designed for relaxed seating, making it a distinct accent piece within a modern interior scheme.

The download is a 44 MB compressed archive containing the native 3ds Max (.max) model, set up with Corona materials. Open it in 3ds Max with Corona installed; for other programs, export to FBX or OBJ from 3ds Max first.

To integrate this model into a 3ds Max scene, use the native object pivot for precise placement on the floor plane. The asset is structured for straightforward merging, allowing for easy adjustment of the texture maps to suit specific lighting conditions. Ensure the fabric material is assigned correctly using the standard material editor, and apply appropriate subdivisions if close-up rendering is required to maintain the integrity of the curved, organic geometry.

Ideal for residential living rooms, boutique hotel lobbies, or contemporary reading nooks, this lounge chair serves as a focal point in any interior design project. It pairs effectively with minimalist side tables or as part of a curated seating group in a lounge area. Professionals should search for this item when specifying sculptural accent seating that prioritises both comfort and aesthetic impact. It integrates well into mid-century modern or contemporary-styled spaces where organic shapes are favoured to soften rigid architectural lines.
