Contemporary Black Velvet Modular Sectional Sofa

This contemporary black velvet modular sectional sofa for 3ds Max features a distinctive tufted design and low-profile silhouette. Characterised by its low-slung, modular form, this sectional sofa is upholstered in a deep black velvet fabric. The design features a signature tufted button detailing across the seat and backrest cushions, creating a rhythmic, textured appearance. Its structural composition is defined by rounded, plush volumes that offer a soft, inviting aesthetic. The configuration includes a main seating run with an integrated corner section, providing a generous footprint suitable for large lounges. The absence of visible legs enhances its grounded, heavy presence, making it a focal point in any interior requiring a sophisticated, dark-toned seating solution.

The download is a 14.5 MB compressed archive containing the native 3ds Max (.max) model, set up with Corona materials. Open it in 3ds Max with Corona installed; for other programs, export to FBX or OBJ from 3ds Max first.

To integrate this model into a 3ds Max scene, merge the file into your master project file. Ensure the object is placed on a dedicated layer for easy visibility control. The velvet material uses standard texture mapping, which can be adjusted via the material editor to suit your specific lighting setup. If the scale requires adjustment, use the non-uniform scale tool with caution to maintain the integrity of the tufted geometry. Apply an appropriate HDRI map to capture the subtle light reflections across the velvet surface.
