About this asset

This contemporary 3ds Max console table features a polished black marble top supported by an intricate, sculptural gold metal base. Defined by a high-contrast aesthetic, this console table pairs a sleek, rectangular black marble top with a striking, reflective gold-tone metal structure. The base is the primary design element, consisting of two interlaced, looped supports that rise from a stepped, rectangular plinth. The metalwork curves outward to meet the underside of the tabletop, creating a dramatic, airy silhouette that balances the visual weight of the stone. Its proportions are elongated and slim, making it an ideal choice for narrow circulation spaces where high-end material finishes are required to anchor a room.

The download is a 1.9 MB compressed archive containing the native 3ds Max (.max) model, set up with Corona materials. Open it in 3ds Max with Corona installed; for other programs, export to FBX or OBJ from 3ds Max first.

In 3ds Max, this model is organised with logical material IDs to facilitate quick adjustments to the gold finish or stone texture mapping. The base and tabletop are grouped for easy placement against walls or behind sofas. Users should ensure the pivot point is set to the base plinth for accurate positioning on floor planes. Given the reflective nature of the metal and polished marble, applying a high-quality environment map or HDRI is recommended to capture realistic light interaction across the curved surfaces.

This piece is well-suited for luxury residential entrance halls, hotel reception areas, or as a statement accent behind a sofa in a formal living room. Its polished, reflective qualities pair effectively with velvet upholstery, dark timber panelling, or metallic accents. Designers often search for this type of sculptural console when looking to provide a focal point in transitional or glam-inspired interiors. It serves as an elegant surface for displaying lamps, decorative vases, or curated artwork in high-end design projects.
