About this asset

This 2K equirectangular HDRI environment map captures a sunny rooftop terrace with a city skyline under a clear midday sky. The environment map features an expansive view from an urban rooftop, characterized by artificial turf flooring and a panoramic vista of a city skyline punctuated by distant mountains. The lighting conditions are set to a bright, clear midday, producing high-contrast illumination and crisp, distinct shadows. The scene includes various rooftop furniture arrangements, providing natural depth and scale to the reflection environment. This provides a realistic, unclipped lighting source for architectural exterior visualizations requiring a bright, naturalistic daylight setting with a clear, deep blue sky overhead.

The download is a 5.9 MB file containing a 2K equirectangular high-dynamic-range environment map, ready to load as dome or world lighting in Blender, 3ds Max, SketchUp renderers, Unreal Engine and D5.

Load this equirectangular HDR file into the environment or background slot of your rendering engine. Adjust the exposure or intensity values to match your specific scene lighting requirements, utilizing the high dynamic range data to drive realistic global illumination and sharp, sunlight-based shadows. The map should be mapped as a spherical environment, ensuring the sun position aligns with your desired camera angle for consistent shadow direction and highlights across all reflective surfaces in your architectural model.

Ideal for architectural visualizations of urban residential developments, hospitality projects, or commercial rooftop terraces, this HDRI provides a versatile backdrop for exterior renders. It integrates well into projects requiring a bright, midday atmosphere, offering a convincing city context for mid-to-high-rise building studies. Professionals can use this to establish realistic outdoor lighting for site-specific proposals, rooftop amenity space designs, or general urban environment integration. It pairs effectively with scenes featuring glass facades or metallic architectural elements that benefit from clear, high-contrast reflections.
