About this asset

This contemporary 3ds Max lounge chair features a distinct woven black leather seat set within a structured natural timber frame. This lounge chair is defined by its low-profile, ergonomic silhouette and material contrast. The seat and backrest are constructed from wide, interlocking strips of black leather, creating a breathable, flexible surface. This woven element is suspended within a robust, rectilinear timber frame, which features cylindrical legs and clean, horizontal support rails. The warm, natural wood grain provides a stark, sophisticated counterpoint to the dark, matte texture of the leather strapping. The chair maintains a minimalist aesthetic, prioritising linear geometry and tactile material quality, making it a versatile piece for various interior styles.

The download is a 88.9 MB compressed archive containing the native 3ds Max (.max) model. Open it in 3ds Max; for other programs, export to FBX or OBJ from 3ds Max first.

To integrate this asset into a 3ds Max scene, standard practice involves merging the file into your project workspace and checking the pivot point alignment for placement on floor surfaces. Ensure the leather texture mapping is adjusted to maintain the woven pattern scale if the object is scaled for specific room dimensions. The asset is organised with logical layer naming, allowing for easy selection and assignment of material IDs or custom shaders if you choose to swap the default leather or wood finishes.

This lounge chair is ideal for curated residential living rooms, boutique hotel lobbies, or quiet reading nooks in professional offices. Its architectural form pairs well with low-slung coffee tables, textured area rugs, and minimalist floor lamps. Designers often search for this type of accent seating when looking to introduce a blend of organic warmth and structured, modern geometry into a space. It functions effectively as a focal point in open-plan layouts or as part of a grouped seating arrangement in larger interior design projects.
