About this asset

This collection of fourteen animal hide-style rugs for SketchUp offers diverse organic patterns and textures for interior floor finishes. This set contains fourteen distinct rug models featuring varied animal-inspired prints, including classic cowhide-style patches, zebra-stripe patterns, and tiger-stripe motifs. Each piece replicates the irregular, organic silhouette typical of natural hides, providing a varied range of aesthetic options from monochromatic black and white to warm, earthy brown tones. The models are presented as flat, two-dimensional surfaces with high-resolution textures, making them suitable for overhead or perspective views. The collection covers a wide spectrum of natural textures and colour palettes, allowing for easy integration into diverse interior design schemes.

The download is a 81.9 MB compressed archive containing the native SketchUp (.skp) model holding 14 separate objects. It opens directly in SketchUp; for 3ds Max, Blender or Cinema 4D, import it through a SketchUp importer or convert it first.

Users should ensure they are placed directly onto the floor geometry to avoid z-fighting. Given their flat nature, they are ideal for top-down plan views or as subtle floor accents in perspective renders. If necessary, the scale can be adjusted using the standard uniform scaling tool to fit specific room dimensions. Materials are pre-applied, allowing for immediate placement within a scene without additional mapping or texture configuration.

These rugs are highly effective for adding warmth and texture to residential living rooms, bedrooms, and studies. They pair well with mid-century modern or rustic furniture, providing a focal point on hardwood or stone flooring. Professionals frequently use these assets in high-end hospitality projects, such as boutique hotel suites or lounge areas, to introduce an organic, tactile element. Search for these by terms like hide rug, patterned floor covering, or organic shape carpet when detailing floor plans or interior visualisations.
