About this asset

This contemporary black fabric 3-seater modular sofa 3ds Max model features a distinctive grid-tufted aesthetic and three accent cushions. Defined by a rigorous grid-tufted upholstery pattern, this 3-seater sofa presents a clean, contemporary silhouette. The modular construction is upholstered in a dark black fabric, providing a structured yet comfortable appearance. It features integrated armrests and a deep, low-profile seat base. Three matching square accent cushions in a contrasting beige fabric are included, softening the geometric lines of the backrest and seat. The overall proportions suggest a firm, supportive sit, suitable for formal lounge areas or modern living spaces where a bold, monochromatic anchor piece is required for the interior scheme.

The download is a 15.8 MB compressed archive containing the native 3ds Max (.max) model. Open it in 3ds Max; for other programs, export to FBX or OBJ from 3ds Max first.

When integrating this model into a 3ds Max scene, ensure the object is placed on the appropriate floor plane using the snap-to-grid tools. Users should verify the scale against standard human anthropometrics to maintain spatial accuracy. The fabric materials are assigned to distinct sub-object layers, allowing for easy adjustment of texture tiling or colour tinting if required. For lighting, consider using a soft area light setup to highlight the depth of the tufted upholstery and to avoid harsh, flat rendering of the black fabric.

This sofa is ideal for high-end residential living rooms, modern apartment interiors, and boutique hotel lobbies. It serves as a strong focal point in modern interior visualisations, fitting seamlessly into various styles ranging from minimalist to industrial-chic when styled with appropriate accent furniture and lighting fixtures.
