Contemporary Black Coffee Table with Fluted Column Base

This contemporary 3ds Max coffee table features a distinct oval silhouette supported by an asymmetric fluted column and sphere base. The coffee table presents a bold, sculptural form defined by its matte black finish and contrasting geometric supports. The elongated oval top provides a generous surface area, while the base assembly incorporates a vertical fluted cylindrical leg on one side and a solid spherical volume on the other. This deliberate asymmetry creates a striking visual balance, suitable for high-end interior schemes. The model includes a curated set of decorative accessories, such as a dried palm frond in a ceramic vessel, stacked books, and small candles, which enhance the overall composition and scale.

The download is a 22.9 MB compressed archive containing the native 3ds Max (.max) model, set up with Corona materials. Open it in 3ds Max with Corona installed; for other programs, export to FBX or OBJ from 3ds Max first.

In 3ds Max, this model is organised into logical layers for easy manipulation of the table and its associated decor. Users can adjust the material properties to refine the matte finish or swap the surface textures to suit various lighting conditions. The assets are scaled for standard living room applications, allowing for quick integration into interior scenes. Ensure that the pivot points are correctly aligned at the base for efficient placement on floor surfaces, and consider using custom HDRI maps to highlight the table's unique geometry.

This piece is ideal for modern living rooms, luxury hotel lounges, or high-end retail showroom displays. It pairs effectively with minimalist sofa configurations or low-profile seating arrangements. Architects and interior designers often search for sculptural furniture to serve as a focal point in open-plan spaces or curated residential projects. Its clean lines and dark finish make it a versatile choice for monochromatic or bold, eclectic interiors where a blend of geometric shapes and functional design is required to define the space.
