About this asset

This contemporary reception desk SketchUp model features a striking angular black facade paired with a functional natural wood workspace. Designed for professional environments, this reception desk combines a bold, faceted black frontage with a warm-toned wood finish. The structure includes an elevated front screen that hides the workspace from public view. The rear side is highly functional, featuring two pedestal cabinets, a central open-shelf unit for CPU towers, and a dedicated printer bay. The generous desktop accommodates two workstations, complete with pre-modeled computer peripherals and a decorative floral accent. The combination of dark geometric elements and organic wood grain provides a modern aesthetic suitable for high-traffic entry areas.

The download is a 51.3 MB compressed archive containing the native SketchUp (.skp) model. It opens directly in SketchUp; for 3ds Max, Blender or Cinema 4D, import it through a SketchUp importer or convert it first.

To integrate this desk into a SketchUp scene, place the component at the origin point of your lobby model. Use the move tool to align the rear pedestal units with your floor plan. The model is organized by layers, allowing for the easy isolation of the desktop surface or the storage units. Apply custom wood grain textures via the materials panel to match your project's specific interior finishes. Ensure the model is scaled correctly against your wall heights before finalizing the placement of surrounding furniture.

Ideal for corporate lobbies, boutique hotel foyers, or modern retail showroom entrances, this desk serves as a primary focal point in commercial design projects. It pairs well with minimalist seating areas, glass partition walls, and recessed downlighting. Architects and interior designers often search for this type of asset when specifying furniture for front-of-house reception areas, administrative zones, or client-facing office environments. Its clean lines and integrated storage make it a practical choice for high-functioning, space-conscious professional interiors.
