About this asset

This contemporary beige leather armchair, modelled for 3ds Max, features a distinct curved armrest profile and a dark timber frame. This armchair showcases a refined contemporary aesthetic, defined by its soft, organic curves and balanced proportions. The seat and backrest are upholstered in a smooth, neutral beige leather, featuring clean, minimalist seam detailing. A key design element is the flared, sweeping armrests that transition seamlessly into the back frame. The entire upper assembly is supported by a solid wood base finished in a deep black stain, with four slightly tapered legs providing a sturdy foundation. The compact profile makes it an ideal choice for both residential living spaces and professional breakout areas.

The download is a 9.6 MB compressed archive containing the native 3ds Max (.max) model, set up with Corona materials. Open it in 3ds Max with Corona installed; for other programs, export to FBX or OBJ from 3ds Max first.

When integrating this model into a 3ds Max scene, ensure the object is placed at the correct floor level using the snap-to-grid function. The file structure allows for easy separation of the upholstery and frame components, facilitating custom material adjustments. Users should check the pivot point at the base of the legs for accurate positioning within a room layout. Applying standard reflection and bump maps to the leather material will enhance the realism of the surface texture during the final rendering process.

This armchair is well-suited for high-end residential living rooms, boutique hotel lobbies, or executive office waiting areas. Its neutral palette allows it to pair effectively with modern coffee tables, minimalist side tables, or textured wool rugs. Designers often search for this type of seating when specifying furniture for contemporary interior schemes that require a balance of comfort and sculptural form. It works particularly well as a statement piece in a reading corner or as part of a grouped lounge furniture arrangement.
