About this asset

This contemporary beige fabric armchair for SketchUp features a distinct curved channel-back design and a matching accent cushion. This contemporary armchair features a striking, continuous curved silhouette that integrates the backrest and armrests into a single, fluid form. The upholstery is finished in a soft, monochromatic beige fabric, emphasizing the channel-tufted detailing that runs vertically along the interior backrest. A deep seat cushion provides comfort, complemented by a single, small square accent pillow nestled in the corner. The base follows the same sweeping, organic geometry as the upper frame, creating a cohesive, sculptural aesthetic that works well in modern interiors requiring a soft, rounded focal point.

The download is a 7 MB compressed archive containing the native SketchUp (.skp) model. It opens directly in SketchUp; for 3ds Max, Blender or Cinema 4D, import it through a SketchUp importer or convert it first.

Within SketchUp, this model is structured for efficient scene management. Users can easily adjust the placement and rotation to suit interior layouts. The geometry is clean, allowing for straightforward application of custom materials or textures if a different fabric finish is required. It is recommended to keep the object on a dedicated layer or tag to facilitate toggling visibility during complex scene development. The model is lightweight, ensuring smooth navigation even when multiple chairs are populated in a larger architectural model.

Ideal for residential living rooms, boutique hotel lobbies, or modern lounge areas, this armchair serves as a versatile accent piece. It pairs effectively with minimalist coffee tables or side tables, contributing to a relaxed, sophisticated atmosphere. Designers often specify this style for projects requiring soft, organic shapes to contrast with more rigid architectural lines.
