About this asset

This contemporary 3ds Max armchair features a beige fabric upholstery with a distinctive gathered back and a dark wood base. This contemporary armchair is defined by its soft, inviting form and tailored upholstery. The backrest showcases a subtle gathered fabric detail that transitions into integrated, slightly flared armrests, creating a cohesive silhouette. The seat is a deep, plush cushion providing comfort and support. Below, the chair is elevated on a dark-stained timber frame with clean, tapered legs that provide a grounded contrast to the light textile. The overall proportions are balanced for lounge environments, offering a sophisticated aesthetic that bridges the gap between classic comfort and modern design sensibilities.

The download is a 49.9 MB compressed archive containing the native 3ds Max (.max) model, set up with Corona materials. Open it in 3ds Max with Corona installed; for other programs, export to FBX or OBJ from 3ds Max first.

When integrating this model into 3ds Max, ensure the object is placed on a flat plane corresponding to the floor level. The fabric material uses a non-uniform mapping that may require a UVW Map modifier to adjust tiling scales for realistic textile grain. The dark wood base is separated into a distinct material ID, allowing for easy adjustment of glossiness or reflection maps to match the scene lighting conditions. Use standard scene units for accurate scale and placement within your interior design projects.

This piece is ideal for high-end residential living rooms, hotel lobbies, or executive lounge areas where a balance of style and comfort is required. It pairs well with minimalist coffee tables or as an accent chair in a bedroom suite. Professionals searching for lounge seating, occasional chairs, or soft furniture for interior visualization will find this model versatile. Its neutral tone allows it to integrate seamlessly into various design schemes, from Scandinavian-inspired spaces to more formal, contemporary office waiting areas.
