About this asset

This chrome metal dumbbell set for 3ds Max features a pair of classic adjustable weights with a polished, reflective finish. These two dumbbells feature a traditional threaded bar design with a central grip and circular weight plates. The entire assembly is rendered in a high-gloss chrome finish, emphasizing the metallic reflections and smooth, rounded edges of the plates. Each dumbbell consists of a central handle, two primary weight discs, and threaded ends for locking mechanisms. The proportions are balanced, reflecting standard gym equipment found in home or commercial workout spaces. The model is clean, focusing on the material properties of the polished steel to ensure realistic light interaction in a variety of interior lighting conditions.

The download is a 1.3 MB file containing the native 3ds Max (.max) model holding 2 separate objects, set up with Corona materials. Open it in 3ds Max with Corona installed; for other programs, export to FBX or OBJ from 3ds Max first.

To integrate these dumbbells into a 3ds Max project, import the object into your scene and scale accordingly to match your gym equipment library. The materials are set up as standard metallic shaders, which can be easily adjusted to match your scene's specific render engine requirements. Use the pivot points to position the dumbbells on gym racks, benches, or floor surfaces. Ensure appropriate environment mapping is applied to capture the reflective quality of the chrome surfaces for a convincing visual result.

This asset is suitable for detailed interior visualisations of home gyms, commercial fitness centres, or wellness suites within hotel and residential projects. Professionals can use these weights to populate workout spaces, staging them on weight benches, storage racks, or scattered on gym flooring to add a sense of activity and realism to the space. They pair well with other fitness equipment like yoga mats, exercise benches, and mirrors, helping to define the function of a room in a high-end interior design presentation.
