About this asset

This 2K high-dynamic-range environment map provides realistic midday countryside lighting for architectural visualisation projects. Captured in a rural setting, this HDRI environment map features a clear, bright daylight scene dominated by a paved road flanked by dense green foliage and open fields. The capture includes a full 360-degree spherical projection, ensuring consistent lighting and reflections across all axes. The colour palette is natural, reflecting the greens of the trees and hedges, the neutral tones of the asphalt road, and the crisp blue of a daytime sky. This map is suitable for exterior renders requiring authentic, high-quality environmental illumination without the need for additional artificial light rigs.

The download is an 11.2 MB compressed archive containing a 2K equirectangular high-dynamic-range environment map, ready to load as dome or world lighting in Blender, 3ds Max, SketchUp renderers, Unreal Engine and D5.

To integrate this environment map, load the file into the primary environment or world lighting slot of your rendering engine. Adjust the rotation to align the sun position with your scene’s focal point for optimal shadow casting. Because the map contains high-dynamic-range data, it will automatically drive global illumination and realistic reflections on materials. Ensure your camera exposure settings are calibrated to match the intensity of the captured daylight to achieve a balanced, physically accurate render.

This environment is ideal for exterior residential projects, rural landscape masterplanning, and architectural visualisations that require a natural, daytime setting. It pairs effectively with grass, gravel, and asphalt textures, providing realistic highlights on glass and metal surfaces. Professionals use this asset to quickly establish context for site-specific designs, particularly when a neutral, bright, and open-field atmosphere is needed. It is a versatile tool for early-stage conceptual renders and final high-fidelity presentations, bringing life and authentic lighting to any outdoor architectural scene.
