About this asset

This classic coffered ceiling panel for SketchUp features a brown waffle-patterned design with decorative gold-trimmed detailing. This square ceiling panel is designed in a traditional coffered style, characterised by a grid of recessed square pockets. The primary structure is finished in a deep brown tone, which provides a rich, grounded aesthetic. An elegant gold accent trim lines the inner perimeter of the coffers and frames the central, flat square insert. The geometry creates a clear sense of depth and architectural rhythm, making it suitable for high-end interior applications where a formal, structured ceiling treatment is required to define a space or establish a focal point above a room's main seating area.

The download is a 584 KB compressed archive containing the native SketchUp (.skp) model. It opens directly in SketchUp; for 3ds Max, Blender or Cinema 4D, import it through a SketchUp importer or convert it first.

To integrate this component into a SketchUp scene, place the panel as a component on a dedicated ceiling layer. The waffle geometry is built to be modular, allowing users to array the panels across a larger surface if necessary. Scale the model according to the specific room dimensions before applying materials. Users should ensure the axes are correctly aligned with the ceiling plane to maintain proper orientation for rendering and to avoid potential texture mapping issues during the final visualisation process.

The panel is ideal for formal residential dining rooms, libraries, or luxury hotel lobbies where traditional architectural details are desired. It pairs effectively with dark wood panelling, crown moulding, and ornate chandelier fixtures. Professionals searching for coffered ceiling systems, decorative interior cladding, or classic ceiling textures will find this asset useful for adding depth to ceiling designs in high-end projects. It is best implemented during the design development phase to establish the ceiling's character and enhance the overall interior volume.
