About this asset

This floor-length SketchUp curtain model features a rich brown textured fabric, providing a realistic window treatment for interiors. Designed with a classic floor-length drape, this curtain set offers a clean, contemporary aesthetic suitable for various interior styles. The fabric exhibits a visible, tactile texture in a warm brown tone, creating a sense of depth and softness within a digital space. The model includes natural folds and gathers that suggest a weighted hem, ensuring a realistic hang when positioned against glazing or wall surfaces. It serves as a versatile element for softening architectural edges and enhancing the overall warmth of a room design, complementing both minimalist and traditional furniture arrangements.

The download is a 121 MB compressed archive containing the native SketchUp (.skp) model. It opens directly in SketchUp; for 3ds Max, Blender or Cinema 4D, import it through a SketchUp importer or convert it first.

Within SketchUp, this component is best managed as a standalone group or component to maintain scene organization. Users can easily scale the height to match specific floor-to-ceiling dimensions or adjust the width to cover varying window spans. The texture mapping is optimized for standard material application, allowing for quick adjustments to the fabric colour or bump maps if a different finish is required. It is recommended to place the curtain on a dedicated layer for efficient toggling during the design process.

These curtains are essential for residential projects, particularly in living rooms and master bedrooms where a cozy, finished look is desired. They pair effectively with modern sofas, lounge chairs, and timber flooring, helping to frame exterior views and manage light diffusion in visualizations. Architects and interior designers often specify such window treatments to add a layer of domestic comfort to high-end hospitality suites or staged showroom interiors, relying on them to complete the visual narrative of a well-appointed, liveable space.
