About this asset

This neoclassical decorative plaster ceiling panel for SketchUp features a refined rectangular frame with an intricate central motif. This decorative panel is defined by its formal, neoclassical aesthetic, characterised by a deep, recessed central area with softened, curved corners. The primary surface is framed by a linear border, while the centrepiece incorporates a delicate, oval-shaped relief moulding enriched with subtle floral or foliate detailing at the top and bottom. The geometry is clean and precise, intended to provide a sophisticated architectural accent to ceiling or wall surfaces. Its proportions are balanced, suggesting a high-quality finish suitable for traditional or period-inspired interior design schemes where structural ornamentation is required.

The download is a 7.4 MB compressed archive containing the native SketchUp (.skp) model. It opens directly in SketchUp; for 3ds Max, Blender or Cinema 4D, import it through a SketchUp importer or convert it first.

In SketchUp, this component is best handled by placing it as a group or component within your primary model. Use the move and rotate tools to align the panel with your ceiling or wall planes. Given its geometry, ensure the surface normal is facing outward to avoid rendering artifacts. You can easily adjust the material applied to the panel to match your specific project's colour palette, or use the native paint bucket tool to apply high-resolution textures for a more realistic plaster finish.

This panel is ideal for high-end residential projects, luxury hotel lobbies, or formal dining rooms where a touch of classic elegance is desired. It works effectively as an accent feature on ceilings or as part of a wall panelling system. Designers looking for architectural detailing to enhance interior spaces will find this asset useful for creating period-accurate environments. It pairs well with cornicing, ceiling roses, and traditional wall treatments, making it a valuable addition to any library of interior architectural elements.
