About this asset

This bohemian natural rattan rocking chair is a detailed SketchUp model featuring a curved frame and two contrasting scatter cushions. Defined by its graceful, curved silhouette, this rocking chair is constructed from natural rattan, showcasing a light, organic aesthetic. The frame features a high, arched backrest with a delicate cross-pattern weave, while the wide, sweeping armrests transition fluidly into the curved rockers below. The seat is complemented by two loose scatter cushions—one in deep black and one in crisp white—which add a layer of soft, tactile comfort to the structural rattan design. The open, airy construction makes it a lightweight visual addition to any interior space, emphasising texture and natural materials.

The download is a 6.2 MB compressed archive containing the native SketchUp (.skp) model. It opens directly in SketchUp; for 3ds Max, Blender or Cinema 4D, import it through a SketchUp importer or convert it first.

This SketchUp asset is organised for straightforward integration into your project files. Use the native component structure to easily adjust the positioning or scale within your scene. The geometry is clean, allowing for efficient rendering when applying custom material settings to the rattan weave or cushion fabrics. Ensure the model is placed on a level surface to maintain the realistic rocking motion, and consider adding a neutral rug beneath to anchor the chair within your interior visualisation workflow.

Ideal for creating relaxed, inviting corners in residential projects, this rocking chair fits seamlessly into sunrooms, nurseries, or living areas. It pairs well with soft textiles and indoor greenery, making it a versatile choice for bohemian, coastal, or scandinavian-inspired interiors. Designers often specify this piece for boutique hotel lounges or casual café seating areas where a tactile, artisanal quality is desired. Its neutral palette allows it to integrate easily into various design schemes while providing a comfortable and stylish accent.
