Black Wood and Rattan Armchair with Side Table

This SketchUp model features a mid-century style armchair in black-stained wood with rattan webbing, paired with a natural wood side table. The armchair exhibits distinct mid-century design cues, featuring a blackened timber frame with angular, V-shaped legs and a slanted backrest. The seat and back panel are inset with natural rattan cane webbing, providing a textural contrast to the dark frame. A small, brown cushion is included for the seat. Accompanying the chair is a solid, hourglass-shaped side table carved from light natural wood, which adds an organic element to the set. The combination provides a balanced study in material contrast, blending dark, structured lines with lighter, woven textures and raw, rounded timber forms.

The download is a 25.7 MB compressed archive containing the native SketchUp (.skp) model holding 2 separate objects. It opens directly in SketchUp; for 3ds Max, Blender or Cinema 4D, import it through a SketchUp importer or convert it first.

In SketchUp, this model is organised into logical groups for the chair and table, allowing for easy placement and individual manipulation. Users should verify the scale against their project's floor plan before final positioning. Materials are applied as standard textures, which can be easily edited or swapped in the material browser to match specific project requirements. For high-quality visualisations, consider applying additional reflection and bump maps to the rattan and wood surfaces to enhance the realism of the textures under various lighting conditions.
