About this asset

This modern 3ds Max model features a black metal grid trellis with climbing ivy, ideal for biophilic interior partitioning. The asset consists of a sleek, rectangular black metal frame structured as a grid, topped with a narrow shelf element. A dense, realistic cluster of climbing ivy foliage is integrated at the base and trailing through the lower sections of the wirework. The contrast between the rigid, geometric lines of the steel framework and the organic, sprawling habit of the vegetation creates a balanced, contemporary aesthetic. This piece functions both as a structural room divider and a decorative greenery element, providing visual softness and depth to open-plan interior spaces while maintaining a clean, industrial-inspired silhouette.

The download is a 13.9 MB compressed archive containing the native 3ds Max (.max) model, set up with Corona materials. Open it in 3ds Max with Corona installed; for other programs, export to FBX or OBJ from 3ds Max first.

In 3ds Max, this asset is typically handled as a single mesh or grouped object. Users should check the pivot point upon insertion to ensure easy placement against walls or as a standalone screen. The vegetation uses opacity maps for the leaves, which are best rendered with high-quality settings to capture the translucency. Adjusting the tiling or density of the foliage may require minor tweaks to the material editor to ensure seamless integration with specific lighting environments and project-specific render settings.

This trellis is well-suited for high-end residential living areas, modern office lobbies, or hotel reception zones where biophilic design is a priority. It works effectively as a semi-transparent room divider to define zones without obstructing light or sightlines. Architects and interior designers often search for this type of asset under terms like green partition, metal screen, or indoor climbing plant. It pairs well with minimalist furniture and concrete or timber flooring, adding a natural, organic layer to clean, structured architectural interiors.
