About this asset

This SketchUp model features a pair of minimalist beige fabric curtains suspended from a simple metal rod, suitable for interior visualisations. The asset comprises two floor-length curtain panels with a soft, uniform drape and vertical pleat detailing. The fabric displays a subtle, natural texture in a neutral beige tone, providing a clean and understated aesthetic. These panels are mounted on a slender, straight metal rod that extends horizontally across the width of the pair. The proportions are balanced, designed to frame windows or serve as a soft room partition. Every fold and ripple in the textile is modelled to suggest a realistic, hanging weight, ensuring a consistent look from various camera angles.

The download is a 9.3 MB compressed archive containing the native SketchUp (.skp) model holding 2 separate objects. It opens directly in SketchUp; for 3ds Max, Blender or Cinema 4D, import it through a SketchUp importer or convert it first.

In SketchUp, this component is structured as a group for easy placement within a model. Users can scale the length of the rod to fit specific window widths or adjust the position of the individual curtain panels along the track. Because the geometry is relatively clean, it can be easily assigned custom material textures or transparency settings if a sheer effect is required for a specific lighting scheme. The model remains lightweight, ensuring smooth navigation even when multiple instances are placed throughout a large interior project.

These curtains are ideal for residential living rooms, bedrooms, or hotel suites where a neutral, calming atmosphere is desired. They pair well with minimalist furniture and contemporary interior schemes. Professionals often use such assets to add realism to architectural renders, acting as a soft transition between interior spaces and exterior views. When searching for this type of window treatment, designers typically look for terms like fabric drapes, textile window coverings, or interior curtains to populate their scenes during the final stages of a project.
