About this asset

This contemporary 3ds Max lounge armchair features a low-profile, tufted design upholstered in a textured off-white boucle fabric. Defined by its soft, rounded geometry and deep tufting, this lounge armchair offers a relaxed, informal silhouette. The seat is composed of a square base with button-tufted detailing, creating a grid-like pattern that emphasises the plush nature of the upholstery. A separate, horizontal bolster-style backrest sits atop the rear of the seat, providing lumbar support while maintaining a low, minimalist profile. The entire piece is wrapped in a high-texture off-white boucle fabric, which enhances the organic, tactile quality of the form. Its proportions are intentionally low to the ground, typical of modern lounge seating.

The download is a 9.7 MB compressed archive containing the native 3ds Max (.max) model, set up with Corona materials. Open it in 3ds Max with Corona installed; for other programs, export to FBX or OBJ from 3ds Max first.

When integrating this model into 3ds Max, ensure the geometry is placed at the correct floor elevation to account for its low-profile base. The boucle material mapping may require adjustment to the UVW tiling to ensure the fabric texture scales appropriately with the rounded edges of the chair. It is recommended to use a standard material library for the upholstery to match existing scene lighting conditions, adjusting the bump or displacement maps to accurately capture the characteristic looped surface of the boucle fabric.

This armchair is ideal for contemporary residential living rooms, reading nooks, or high-end hotel lobby lounge areas where a soft, inviting aesthetic is required. It pairs well with minimalist coffee tables, low-slung modular sofa systems, or as a standalone accent piece in a bedroom. Designers seeking a piece with a relaxed, tactile presence will find this model effective for creating comfortable, modern interior vignettes.
