About this asset

This contemporary rectangular fabric rug for 3ds Max features an abstract, distressed pattern in a palette of grey, brown, and yellow. This rectangular area rug features a contemporary abstract motif with a distressed finish, suggesting a layered, painterly aesthetic. The colour composition blends neutral greys and deep browns with subtle, warm yellow accents that appear as fragmented highlights across the surface. The texture is designed to mimic a woven fabric pile, providing a soft, visual depth that works well under furniture. Its clean, sharp edges maintain a modern profile, making it a versatile floor covering for various interior styles. The piece is provided as a single, flat-form model ready for placement in digital environments.

The download is a 1.4 MB compressed archive containing the native 3ds Max (.max) model, set up with Corona materials. Open it in 3ds Max with Corona installed; for other programs, export to FBX or OBJ from 3ds Max first.

To integrate this rug into a 3ds Max scene, simply merge the file into your master project and position it on the floor plane. Ensure the object is slightly offset from the floor geometry to prevent Z-fighting. You can apply your preferred fabric material settings or adjust the existing texture maps to suit your specific lighting environment. If the scale requires adjustment, use the non-uniform scale tool with caution to maintain the integrity of the abstract pattern across the rectangular surface.

This rug is ideal for residential living rooms, master bedrooms, or modern home offices where a focal point is required. It pairs well with minimalist or industrial furniture, anchoring a seating arrangement or defining a circulation zone within a larger open-plan layout. Professionals should search for this item when sourcing area rugs for high-end hospitality suites, boutique hotel lobbies, or contemporary apartment staging. Its neutral yet expressive colour palette provides a sophisticated balance to both dark wood and light-toned interior finishes.
