Minimalist Zen Garden Exterior Scene

This minimalist Zen garden 3ds Max scene features a stone water element, wood cladding, and natural landscaping detail. Centred on a serene water feature, this exterior composition balances organic and architectural textures. A horizontal timber-slatted wall provides a warm backdrop to a split-face stone partition, creating a layered aesthetic. The dark, monolithic concrete-effect basin houses polished river stones and a sculptural figure, with a subtle waterfall spillway adding motion. Soft, ambient lighting highlights the texture of the stone and the gentle steam rising from the water, while bamboo stalks frame the left side. The scene is carefully balanced to evoke a tranquil, meditative environment suitable for high-end residential or boutique hospitality exterior visualisations.

The download is a 29.2 MB compressed archive containing the native 3ds Max (.max) scene, set up with Corona materials. Open it in 3ds Max with Corona installed; for other programs, export to FBX or OBJ from 3ds Max first.

Designed for 3ds Max, this scene provides a fully populated environment. Professionals should use the provided layer structure to manage the vegetation, stone elements, and water surface separately. The lighting setup is baked into the environment, allowing for immediate rendering, but users may adjust the HDRI or light intensity to suit specific project times of day. Materials are mapped and ready for further refinement or texture swapping, making it an efficient base for rapid architectural visualisation workflows.
