Contemporary Oriental Zen Garden Scene with Water Feature

This contemporary oriental Zen garden scene for 3ds Max features a tranquil water feature, bamboo planting, and sculptural stone elements. Designed with a focus on harmony and balance, this scene presents a raised rectangular water basin framed by clean white coping and dark concrete walls. The composition includes a central dark stone rock feature within the water, surrounded by vertical bamboo stalks and decorative stone pedestals holding traditional sculptural accents. A single curved timber chair sits on a textured paving area, adjacent to a flowering tree. The layout is structured and minimalist, drawing inspiration from traditional Japanese garden aesthetics while maintaining a modern, clean-lined architectural approach for exterior visualisation projects.

The download is a 297 MB compressed archive containing the native 3ds Max (.max) scene, set up with Corona materials. Open it in 3ds Max with Corona installed; for other programs, export to FBX or OBJ from 3ds Max first.

Utilise this scene as a pre-composed base for exterior renders, allowing for rapid integration into larger site plans. The 3ds Max file contains the geometry, materials, and lighting setups, which can be adjusted via the material editor or scene explorer. Users should check the layer organisation to isolate specific elements like the water plane, planting, or furniture if individual assets are required for other sections of the project. Ensure texture paths are correctly re-linked upon opening to maintain the integrity of the stone and vegetation shaders.
