About this asset

This comprehensive set of traditional Asian stone sculptures and pedestals, provided as a native SketchUp model, includes a variety of ornate carvings and plinths. This extensive collection features a diverse range of traditional Asian-inspired stone elements, including vertical stone pillars, pedestal-mounted guardian lions, and intricately carved circular base ornaments. The pieces exhibit a consistent weathered grey stone texture, simulating natural masonry. The set comprises various heights and scales, from slender, minimalist upright markers to substantial, detailed sculptural figures. Each piece is modeled with attention to the characteristic relief work and symbolic motifs typical of regional architectural heritage. The variety of forms allows for complex arrangements in both courtyard settings and formal entryways.

The download is a 183 MB compressed archive containing the native SketchUp (.skp) model holding 52 separate objects. It opens directly in SketchUp; for 3ds Max, Blender or Cinema 4D, import it through a SketchUp importer or convert it first.

Each sculpture is grouped, allowing for easy selection and placement. Users should manage these high-detail objects using layers or tags to maintain viewport performance. When rendering, applying a bump or normal map to the existing grey stone material will enhance the depth of the intricate carvings, particularly under direct sunlight or soft environmental lighting.

These stone sculptures are ideal for exterior landscaping projects, including zen gardens, courtyards, and formal hotel entrances. They serve as excellent focal points or boundary markers in traditional or fusion-style architectural schemes. Professionals can utilize these assets in the conceptual or detailed design stages to add cultural context and visual weight to outdoor spaces. They pair well with gravel pathways, stone paving, and lush green foliage, effectively bridging the gap between historical architectural elements and contemporary landscape design.
