About this asset

This SketchUp model features a set of four terracotta breeze block wall screens with a repeating square geometric pattern. These modular architectural screens are composed of terracotta breeze blocks, arranged in four distinct vertical panels. Each block features a hollow square aperture with chamfered interior edges, creating a rhythmic, perforated facade effect. The warm, earthy tone of the material provides a natural texture suitable for both interior and exterior applications. The set allows for flexible composition, enabling designers to stack or align the panels to define spaces, provide ventilation, or create semi-private partitions. The geometric precision of the blocks ensures clean lines and consistent shadow play throughout the day.

The download is a 3.1 MB compressed archive containing the native SketchUp (.skp) model holding 4 separate objects. It opens directly in SketchUp; for 3ds Max, Blender or Cinema 4D, import it through a SketchUp importer or convert it first.

In SketchUp, these blocks are organized as components to facilitate easy scaling and arraying across larger surfaces. Users can import the model and apply custom textures or adjust the material settings to match specific project requirements. Because the geometry is repetitive, it is efficient to use the 'Make Unique' command if individual block variations are needed. Ensure the model is placed on a dedicated layer for easy toggling during the design development phase to maintain viewport performance.

These screens are ideal for creating permeable partitions in tropical residential designs, garden terraces, or hotel courtyards. They pair well with natural timber, concrete, and lush greenery, providing both visual interest and passive cooling. Professionals typically search for these elements when specifying mid-century modern or contemporary facade treatments that require airflow. They are effective for masking utility areas or creating a decorative focal point in lobby spaces, offering a sophisticated alternative to solid wall construction while maintaining a sense of openness.
