About this asset

This modern white ceiling module for SketchUp features a recessed linear lighting profile and clean geometric geometry. This modular ceiling element consists of a rectangular frame with a deep, inward-sloping central channel designed for concealed lighting. The structure presents a crisp, minimalist aesthetic, finished in a matte white surface that integrates seamlessly into modern interior planes. The design includes two variations: one showing the clean, unadorned surface and the other highlighting the perimeter mounting points and the internal lighting track. Its precise edges and sharp, angular geometry suggest a high-end architectural finish suitable for creating sophisticated lighting effects, such as soft cove washing or directed linear illumination within a ceiling system.

The download is a 10.7 MB compressed archive containing the native SketchUp (.skp) model. It opens directly in SketchUp; for 3ds Max, Blender or Cinema 4D, import it through a SketchUp importer or convert it first.

To implement this model in SketchUp, import the component into your project file and align it with your ceiling grid or structural plane. Use the native scaling tools to adjust the length if necessary while maintaining the integrity of the lighting profile. Apply a self-illuminating material to the internal lighting tracks to simulate the glow, and consider using a soft-light HDRI or area light source to accurately render the light bounce off the angled white surfaces for a realistic final output.

This ceiling module is ideal for contemporary residential, commercial, or hospitality interiors where architectural lighting is a focal point. It works effectively in living rooms, luxury lobbies, or high-end retail showrooms to add depth and visual interest to flat ceilings. Designers often use such elements to define zones within open-plan spaces, pairing them with minimalist furniture or polished surfaces.
