Modern Grey Marble and Timber Straight Staircase Scene

This modern straight staircase SketchUp scene features grey marble treads, timber balustrades, and an integrated indoor garden. The staircase assembly features grey marble treads paired with a clean, vertical-grain timber panel balustrade that provides a warm contrast to the stone. The design incorporates a small, sunken indoor garden at the base, complete with a feature rock, grass, and a small tree, creating a serene, biophilic transition. Adjacent to the stairs, a linear fireplace is set into a white marble plinth, with a dark, perforated metal screen wall above. The composition is minimalist and highly textured, balancing cold stone surfaces with organic wood elements and integrated linear lighting.

The download is an 18.2 MB compressed archive containing the native SketchUp (.skp) model. It opens directly in SketchUp; for 3ds Max, Blender or Cinema 4D, import it through a SketchUp importer or convert it first.

Users can adjust the individual materials using the material editor to match specific project lighting conditions. The staircase components are organized for easy scaling to accommodate varying floor-to-floor heights. For high-quality visualisations, consider assigning emissive materials to the linear light strips and adjusting the opacity of the perforated screen to control light transmission and depth in the final render.

This staircase assembly is ideal for high-end residential, luxury hotel lobbies, or boutique retail environments where a strong visual feature is required. It integrates well into contemporary, open-plan interiors that prioritise biophilic design and luxury material palettes. Architects and designers can use this as a focal point in design presentations, particularly for projects featuring split-level layouts or grand entrance halls. Pair this with minimalist furniture and neutral palettes to ensure the staircase remains the primary architectural statement within the space.
