Modern Contemporary Decorative Column Set

This collection of sixteen contemporary decorative columns for SketchUp features varied sculptural forms in wood, metal, and plaster. This set contains sixteen distinct decorative column designs, showcasing a range of sculptural, organic, and geometric profiles. The collection includes variations in height, diameter, and silhouette, with some models exhibiting flared, trumpet-like capitals and others featuring intricate lattice or slatted detailing. Materials appear to be a mix of smooth painted plaster, dark metal, and light natural timber finishes. Several designs incorporate refined structural flourishes, such as slender metallic accents or layered disc elements at the column head, creating a sophisticated visual rhythm suitable for high-end interior architectural feature walls or lobby installations.

The download is a 31.4 MB compressed archive containing the native SketchUp (.skp) model holding 16 separate objects. It opens directly in SketchUp; for 3ds Max, Blender or Cinema 4D, import it through a SketchUp importer or convert it first.

These assets are provided as individual components within a SketchUp file, allowing for easy selection and placement using the native move and rotate tools. Users should ensure models are correctly oriented on the vertical axis before snapping them to floor planes. Given the complexity of some lattice-style geometries, practitioners should manage layer visibility to maintain performance. Materials can be adjusted via the SketchUp material editor, and users can scale the individual column components to suit specific ceiling heights without compromising overall proportions.
